Career Counselling for PhD Candidates and Postdoctoral Researchers
Career counselling offers professional guidance and support to help you make informed decisions about your career development and job search. Sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals and can be conducted either in person or online.
Each counselling session lasts 45 minutes and provides practical advice, personalized feedback, and actionable strategies to help you move forward with confidence.
Topics that may be covered include:
- Career orientation: Explore career paths, identify your strengths and interests, and define your professional goals.
- Application document review: Receive feedback on and improve your CV, cover letter, and other application materials.
- Job search strategy: Develop effective approaches to identifying suitable opportunities and expanding your professional network.
- Interview preparation: Practice interview techniques, prepare for common questions, and build confidence.
- Salary negotiation: Learn effective strategies for discussing compensation and negotiating salary and benefits.
